Frequently Asked Questions

Our signup process is a very straightforward. After choosing a session, a parent can sign up their child by filling out our registration form. The form will ask basic questions about the participant, their parent, and their emergency contact. Our registration page can be found on our website.

After filling out the registration form, the parent must also fill out a release form which will be emailed to them. The release form asks some more detailed questions about the participant to help address any pertinent medical needs. The parent of the participant must agree to Camp Venture's policies, which are detailed in the release form and available on our website.

We get it, $399 can be a bit pricey. We try to keep our registration prices low, and we have a much lower price than other Edina summer programs.

In order to maximize the participant experience, we use signup fees to purchase top quality materials for Camp Venture. All of our participants get custom Camp Venture apparel, private offices (remodelled specially for CV participants), lunch and snacks served everyday, and business reference guides with helpful information on a wide breadth of business areas.

Our registration prices also allow us to hire the highest quality counselors for Camp Venture. Our counselors are all hand-picked for their impressive business qualifications and trained to keep our participants both engaged and safe. We maintain a minimum 3:2 ratio of participant teams to on-site staff at all times.

We do offer discounts for signing up your child in a group with their siblings or friends, with discounted prices ranging from $299 to $349 plus tax. If you would like to read more about pricing, scholarships, and refunds, check out our payment policy.

Camp Venture may be a new summer camp, but we have numerous participant safety systems in place.

To start, Camp Venture is an indoor camp with little to no risk of physical injury. While we may not be a traditional outdoor campground, our quiet location in the middle of Edina and advanced security system provide us with a very safe and secure building. In the unlikely event of an emergencies, Camp Venture is a short 5 minute drive from the Edina police station.

Camp Venture also has extensive medical safety systems. All of our staff are Red Cross certified in CPR and first aid, and are equipped to handle most minor injuries on-site. In the event of a severe medical emergency, fire and EMS are a short 6 minute drive away from Camp Venture, and we are 7 minutes away from the nearest hospital. Read more about our medical procedures.

We also have strictly enforced youth protection, hiring, and privacy policies. Read more about our safety procedures on our About Us page.

We get it, you have a lot of options for summer programs. While this may be our first year in operation, we promise that you will not be disappointed with Camp Venture.

We have a unique program that truly immerses our participants into our business simulation. While there are other business education camps out there, Camp Venture is the only one that provides its participants with a private corporate office, an advanced collaboration setup, and the ability to properly experiment with different business ideas.

We know our program works because we've been building it for years! Camp Venture's Director, Jack Meagher, is also the President of the Edina High School business club. He has taken the best of his business club competitions and lessons, and crafted it into the perfect business basics program. Jack's been an Eagle Scout for 4 years, and in the Boy Scouts of America for 10 years. If anyone knows how to make a summer program fun for their participants, it's an Eagle Scout who has been both attending and staffing Scout camps for a decade.
